Congratulations to Kai Cushing for winning the 2011 Harvey Lazar Award.
This award is presented to the Majors League 12 year-old player who best exemplifies the spirit of Skokie Indians Little League Baseball and specifically possesses those traits which, based on his or her attitude, ability and performance, characterize the desire to succeed.
The Harvey Lazar Memorial Award was created in 1972 in memory of Harvey Lazar, an officer and member of the Skokie Indians Little League Board of Directors. Mr. Lazar devoted many years to the players of the league at all ages and at all levels of play.
Kai Cushing currently plays for the Skokie Indians Hackneys Pony League team.
